BCHS Driver Education-Session 1

Bristol Public Schools offers a complete driver education course, including 30 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours behind-the-wheel. This class is for Bristol high school students, ages 16-17. Students must be age 16 by September 8, and residents of Bristol to participate.

Any additional costs that may be associated with obtaining a CT DMV learner’s permit or driver’s license are the responsibility of the family/student. It is also the responsibility of the family/student to provide a vehicle for use during the DMV license road test. Bristol Public Schools does not provide any service or vehicles for testing at the DMV.

2026-2027 Session 1 | Tuesdays 2:30PM - 4:30PM & Thursdays 2:30- 4:30 PM,  Room 226

September 8 - The first class is "Parent's Night" 6-8 PM in the BCHS Library. A parent/legal guardian and student must attend this first class together.

November 5 - Make up day

Cancellations & Refunds: 

● If you cancel a registration before the start of a session, a 10% processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

● If you cancel a registration after the session begins, a 10% processing fee is deducted from a prorated refund for unused hours. 

● To cancel a registration or request a refund, please contact Yahiry Pagan at 860‐584‐7865 ext. 710020 and leave a message as soon as possible.
